Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what Pounce collects, what stays local, what is sent to cloud services, and how support data is handled.
1. Data That Stays Local
The following data is intended to stay on your device and is not included in support bundles:
- Facebook cookies and saved browser sessions.
- Browser profile folders and local browser storage.
- Saved account credentials.
- Discord webhook URLs, Telegram bot tokens, and other notification secrets.
- Proxy passwords and proxy credential strings.
2. Data Pounce Cloud Receives
Pounce Cloud receives data needed to operate cloud-backed features, including:
- License and subscription validation data such as license key, hardware fingerprint, and app version.
- Search names, pricing mode, search rules, and listing text needed for AI verification or AI rule generation.
- Listing titles, descriptions, prices, locations, URLs, and selected listing images when needed for AI checks, alerts, analytics, or seller-risk checks.
- eBay pricing queries and cached pricing results.
- Alert-quality analytics showing what listings reached users, without needing your Facebook login session.
- Bug reports you submit through the app.
- Waitlist information submitted on the website, including email, optional Discord username, categories, and setup notes.
3. Support Bundles
Support bundles are local diagnostic exports. They may include app version, platform info, monitor state summaries, configuration summaries, database summary counts, and redacted log tails. They are designed not to include Facebook cookies, saved browser sessions, browser profile folders, saved account credentials, webhook secrets, or proxy passwords.
4. AI and Third-Party Processing
Pounce uses third-party services such as OpenAI for AI verification and rule generation, Whop for licensing and payments, Discord or Telegram for notifications, eBay data for pricing, and hosting providers for Pounce Cloud. Data sent to those services is governed by their respective policies.
5. Notifications and Messages
If you configure Discord, Telegram, Windows notifications, or auto-message features, Pounce may process listing details, prices, images, message opener status, and seller replies so those features can work. Seller reply notifications may include the listing title, listing image, and reply text.
6. Retention
Pounce may retain operational logs, analytics, pricing history, and alert history for product operation, debugging, abuse prevention, and support. Local app data remains on your device unless you delete it or choose to send diagnostics.
7. Security
Pounce uses reasonable technical safeguards for cloud features and redaction for support data, but no system is perfect. Do not share support bundles publicly. Treat anything related to accounts, sessions, proxies, and notifications as sensitive.
8. Your Choices
- You can disable notification channels in Settings.
- You can disable auto-message per search.
- You can delete local accounts, searches, listings, and app data from your device.
- You can avoid sending support bundles unless support specifically asks for one.
9. Affiliations
Pounce is not affiliated with Facebook, Meta, eBay, Whop, Discord, Telegram, or OpenAI.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as Pounce changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
